Investment from TowerBrook Capital Partners will help period care brand grow across channels and drive innovation
August 24, 2026
By: Tara Olivo
TowerBrook Capital Partners announced a strategic partnership with Rael, a women’s wellness brand focused on holistic cycle care. Together, Rael and TowerBrook will seek to scale the brand across channels and deepen its global connection with consumers, accelerating Rael’s mission to deliver better-for-you solutions for women at every stage of life.
Founded in 2017 by three Korean American women, Rael’s mission is to empower women to look and feel their best through every phase of womanhood. Driven by Korean innovation, Rael offers high-performance feminine care, skincare and hormonal wellness products made with better-for-you ingredients that support women’s evolving needs throughout their lives. Headquartered in Los Angeles with an office in Seoul, Korea, Rael has built a strong omnichannel presence across both markets, reaching consumers through leading retailers and e-commerce channels.
“Rael extends TowerBrook’s track record of investing behind products and services that help consumers live healthier lives and builds on the firm’s experience scaling emerging brands through periods of transformational growth,” said Michael Recht, Managing Director at TowerBrook. “Rael’s products have distinct positioning in women’s wellness, and we are excited to build upon the unique trust the brand has developed with consumers.”
Led by chief executive officer and co-founder Yanghee Paik, Rael will partner with TowerBrook to further expand across channels, continue innovating across its portfolio, and reach more consumers globally while advancing education around holistic cycle care. Further strengthening the partnership, John Replogle has been appointed chair of the board to support Yanghee and the company’s leadership team. Replogle previously served as chief executive officer of Burt’s Bees and Seventh Generation, two of the most recognized names in natural personal care and sustainable consumer products, and earlier led Unilever’s North American skin care business.
“We started Rael because we believed women deserved better choices in period care, and that belief led us to pioneer holistic cycle care,” says Paik. “From our first conversation, TowerBrook understood the impact of our mission and believed in it as deeply as we do. Their track record of scaling founder-led brands while preserving their uniqueness makes them the ideal partner as we aim to serve more women around the world.”
“Rael has built a truly differentiated brand by combining thoughtful innovation with a deep understanding of women’s evolving health and wellness needs,” says Nancy Jin, managing director at TowerBrook. “We share Yanghee’s conviction that women deserve clean and effective cycle care products that help them feel supported and confident across every stage of life. We are partnering with this team to build the company that leads that category.”
TowerBrook’s investment was supported by co-investors. Jefferies LLC served as financial advisor to Rael and Sidley Austin LLP served as legal advisor. Benesch served as legal advisor to TowerBrook.
